Our exciting 2024 Season kicks off with Alan Bennett’s rollicking British farce, HABEAS CORPUS, directed by Dan Friedman.  Dan was last seen at the Playhouse staging 2019’s THE UNDERPANTS.
HABEAS CORPUS runs from April 5th to 27th.  It’s a saucy farce from a less enlightened age!

 

Director Terry Sagedy makes his debut to bring you the clever dramatic comedy EVELYN IN PURGATORY.  Running June 7th to 29th , this play has been called ‘The breakfast club for public school teachers’.

‘The Rubber Room’ is the place where NYC teachers never want to to be sent.  There they wait for disciplinary hearings, and in Topher Payne’s well observed play, form relationships, deal with life events and learn more about themselves than they may find comfortable!

 

Back at the Playhouse, in the same slot as last season we’re pleased to once again welcome MICHAEL J FROHNHOEFER, this time directing the intriguing RED HERRING by Michael Hollinger.  A heady mix of 1950’s detective noir, communist spy paranoia and cold war tensions, this stylish play has strong characters, a great period feel and a good dash of humor.  Runs September 6th to 28th.

 

Two words are synonymous with great musical entertainment in our region – BRADFORD and BLAKE.   This year he’s back with the smash hit Broadway favorite ONCE UPON A MATTRESS.  What a great way to round out the year.  This crowd pleaser will run November 22nd to December 21st.  Come and spend the holiday season with Uncle Brad at the Playhouse!
