When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party! Featuring great ’60s versions of holiday classics such as “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Run, Rudolph, Run,” and “Winter Wonderland,” the result is, of course, marvelous! This energetic and glittering holiday package is guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.
Written and created by Roger Bean
Directed and Choreographed by Bradford Blake
Music Direction by Charles Smith
Anyone who knows the Connecticut theatre scene also knows that any ‘Brad Blake’ production is must-see. In WINTER WONDERETTES Mr. Blake delivers the fun in his trademark style, with exuberance and top-quality musical performance. His partner in all this is Charles Smith, equally well known in our region for masterful music direction – assembling and leading a 5-piece band who will be playing live on stage for the whole show!
Steve Stott, the Sherman Players President, and WINTER WONDERETTES Producer says, “This show is perfect for the Holidays in just about every way. It has all the pizzazz we expect from Brad along with sharp stylish costumes and a set that’ll take you straight back to 60’s small-town America. But, of course, best of all are the Wonderettes themselves – smart, funny and with incredible voices. You’ll laugh, you’ll cheer, you’ll want to get up and dance!”
Featuring Renee Browne, Jazzy Cores, Jaquelyn Schultz and Daisy Stott – 4 young ladies with style, wit and enchanting harmonies you won’t want to miss!
And helping to bring the sparkle and shine to WINTER WONDERETTES is the Playhouse production team: Patricia Abby Berg (Stage Manager), Al Chiappetta (Technical Director and Lighting Designer), ‘Krispy’ Kreho (Set Design), Nelson Fall (Set Construction), Dave White and Roy Carch (Sound), and Terry Hawley and Gillian Desjardins (Costumes).
